Who We are
 Westrax
is celebrating our 20 th anniversary, we may be getting older but when it
comes to great DJing, we are just getting started. You don't stay in the
business this long without learning a few things about customer service and
how to throw a great party.
Dedication
Westrax
has a full time staff dedicated to serving our customers and keeping up to
date with the latest music, entertainment, and equipment. Our dedication
speaks for itself. Our shows and customers are always our number one priority.
DJ's
 Training:
In the beginning all our DJ's must first past the gauntlet which is the interview
and initial training. Next, we put our DJ's through a rigorous training course
consisting of hands on training, seminars and training sessions with some
of the best DJ's in the business.
Teams:
After our training process our DJ's still go out in teams working with either
another DJ or an assistant. This is in part for training, but more importantly,
provides better customer service. Two heads really are better than one, not
to mention four hands.
Experience:
It really is all about the DJ, at the end of the day you can have the best
equipment, all the music in the world, but if the DJ doesn't know what they
are doing it is all for not. Regular staff meetings, training seminars and
team building outings are standard in sharing knowledge and experience.
Equipment
 I am not going to boar you with the myth of wattage, decibles, and lumines. We use what works.
Sound:
All our CD players and head units are Pioneer. Because they work, sure we
could buy cheaper, but would you want us to? As for speakers, bigger is not
always better. We start with quality speakers and amps, then you tell us
how big you want it and we'll do it, guaranteed. Lighting: We
use everything from the old reliable pinspots and mirror balls, to intelligent
lighting. Why? Do you really want to pay for intelligent lighting when a
couple of basic effects will do? When it comes to lighting a $10,000 light
can look bad and a $1,000 light can look amazing. It depends on who set it
up and if they know what they are doing. All of our lighting is custom designed
by professionally trained lighting technicians.
 Video:
Rear projection LCD Projectors are the only way to go. Videos must come off
of DVD. A bad picture off of VHS on your home TV is going to look even worse
when we blow it up on a 9' X 12' video screen. We also screen our videos
to be appropriate for the crowd.
Music: Our
music is 100% legal! It isn't downloaded, it isn't copied. We use Promo Only
CD's, the #1 DJ music supplier in the world. All of our music is updated
monthly. For older music, we go all the way back to the 50's right through
to current. This selection goes out to each and every show so you never have
to worry about the DJ having "good" music.
The Show
All
this is great but if the DJ doesn't show up on time, or isn't properly dressed,
it can still be a disaster. Our DJ's will be setup on time, they will be
properly dressed, they do not smoke at shows, they do not consume alcohol
at shows, and they are not there to pick up your guests. It is possible to
be professional but still have fun, we prove it on a daily basis. Our shows
are confirmed with a legal contract that states the setup times, show times,
package, and any special considerations you may have arranged with the office.
There is something to be said about doing what you say you will, and we do
just that. We offer great service, top quality equipment, professional DJ's
and an all around great experience.
